Every Friday, Ripe Fruit and Craft Market brings us a wonderful ensemble of innovative crafts, feel good food and the good old stroll in the market.
The Ripe Fruit and Craft Market takes place in Zabeel Park, Gate 2 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The best thing about this activity is meeting 100 or so local businessmen and women. I immensely enjoyed taking the stroll through the colorful and vibrant products and had a few conversations with the sellers. It was delightful talking to some of the sellers and I love how jubilant they seem when they talk about how they started and their products.
Although, some products are a bit costly, you will not be disappointed because you know that what you’ve bought is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind. But here’s a tip! Stay until closing time see how prices of products begin to drop and just get on with your bargaining prowess! 😀
Anyway, THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC. I did forgot to take photos because I don’t have the energy to lift a finger after rounding the market three times. Haha! Food kiosks are scattered throughout the park and the best thing it has to offer are the organic food freshly harvested from certified farms in UAE. It is always best to support local franchises.
Here are some of the hundreds of shops you can find at Ripe Fruit and Craft Market.
I haven’t been anywhere around the world, but I guess meeting different kinds of people in Dubai is the best thing this country has to offer.
If you are ever in Dubai, please make sure to visit the flea markets. Entrance to Zabeel Park is AED 5. 🙂
